Teachers now have more control over their Google Meet sessions. With Host Controls, teachers can manage Meet access as well as screen sharing and chat availability. In addition, all users can blur their background and change their Meet layout.

Google Meet includes features to help you connect and engage with students including polls and Q&A.

Google Meet Breakout Rooms allows teachers to split classes into simultaneous small groups during online meetings. Meeting hosts can move between breakout rooms to monitor and participate in discussions. Participants can be randomly distributed to rooms, or the host can manually move participants into breakout rooms. Participants can rejoin the original meeting when the breakout session ends.
