Fort Worth ISD Board of Education Plans to Reveal Lone Finalist for Superintendent
Fort Worth ISD trustees will consider and take action on the naming of a lone finalist for superintendent at Tuesday night’s Board of Education meeting.
The agenda action item calls for the Board to “Consider and Take Action to Name the Finalist Being Considered for the Position of Superintendent of Schools.”

The Board’s regular meeting will be held at the ÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ« Teaching and Learning Center, 1050 Bridgewood Drive, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
This meeting will be televised by EdTV, the District’s TV station, on Fort Worth ISD’s channel, Spectrum/Charter Cable Channel 192, AT&T U-Verse 99, and via live streaming video on the District Website’s Video on Demand.

Superintendent Interviews
The ÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ« Board of Trustees is committed to a process that ensures the selection of a superintendent from the highest quality candidates nationwide. However, due to issues of confidentiality, it will not be possible for most, if not all candidates to participate in an “open” or “public” interview process without jeopardizing their current employment or their continued interest in the search. As a result, and in an effort to ensure the highest quality candidate pool, all Board of Trustee interviews of superintendent candidates were conducted in Executive Session pursuant to Texas Government Code §551.074.
The Board will advise the public with the name of the finalist being considered for the position of ÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ« superintendent at least 21 days before the date of the meeting at which a final action or vote is to be taken on the employment of the person.
At the June 14, 2022, Board of Education (BOE) Special Meeting, Board members unanimously approved the superintendent search profile and job description as edited by trustees. Screening for the District’s next superintendent is expected to take place this month and in July, with a slate of candidates presented to the Board by search firm Hazard, Young, Attea (HYA) Associates in August and a superintendent selection made by September.
