Fort Worth ISD is committed to the health of students and their families.  Through local partnerships, the School-Based Health Partnerships leverages medical, behavioral, vision, and dental health resources to meet the needs of ALL students.  The School-Based Health Partnerships works to reduce health disparities and ensure that all student’s health needs can be met regardless of income, insurance, transportation, and status.   

FAMILY RESOURCE CENTERS

The Fort Worth ISD provides supportive behavioral and mental health services at the Family Resource Centers and Family Action Center for students, families and their caregivers. We help meet the social, emotional and mental health needs of students by connecting them with behavioral health resources. Getting help for your child at the FRC is an easy process. It begins with contacting us by phone or filling out the referral link – “Referral (Parent)” on the right.

FRC staff makes the first contact with the parent. A consultation is then scheduled for the parent to speak with the counselor at that center. The purpose of this meeting is to get more information on the concerns of the student expressed by either the parents or school staff. After the consultation and with parental permission, the student is then connected to an agency for services. FRC staff will help you find the best services to meet the needs of your child. Agency services may include: · Individual, Family and Group Counseling · Psychiatric and Psychological Evaluation · Parent Education and Workshops Services are available face-to-face or virtually by telephone or videoconference.

FRC staff will work with you to make sure that agency services are accessible to you. The FRC staff also provides valuable community resource assistance beyond behavioral health needs, such as basic needs, food assistance, clothing assistance, legal and more.  CENTROS DE RECURSOS FAMILIARES

El Fort Worth ISD provee apoyo de servicios al comportamiento y salud mental en los Centros de Recursos Familiares (FRC por sus siglas en inglés) y Centro de Acción Familiar para estudiantes, familias y cuidadores. Ayudamos a cubrir las necesidades sociales, emocionales y mentales de los estudiantes, conectándolos con recursos de salud del comportamiento.

Obtener ayuda para su hijo(a) en el Centro de Recursos Familiares es un proceso fácil.

Empieza con contactarnos por teléfono o completando la forma de referencia – “Referencia (Padres)” al lado derecho. El personal de FRC hace el primer contacto con los padres. Una consulta será programada para que el padre hable con un consejero o consejera del centro. El propósito de esta llamada es obtener más información sobre las preocupaciones del estudiante expresadas por los padres o personal escolar. Después de la consulta y con permiso de los padres, el estudiante será conectado con una agencia para brindarle sus servicios. El personal del FRC le ayudará encontrar los mejores servicios para satisfacer las necesidades de su hijo(a).

Los servicios de la agencia pueden incluir:

• Consejería Individual, Familiar y Grupal
• Evaluación Psiquiátrica y Psicológica
• Educación para Padres y Talleres

 Los servicios están disponibles en persona, o virtualmente por teléfono o videoconferencia. El personal del FRC trabajará con usted para asegurarse que los servicios sean accesibles.

El personal de FRC también proporciona asistencia valiosa de recursos comunitarios más allá de las necesidades de salud del comportamiento, tales como necesidades básicas, asistencia alimentaria, asistencia de vestimenta, legal y más. Estamos aquí para ayudarles.
