English Literacy and Civics

English Literacy and Civics Classes

  • English literacy and civics classes assist adults who wish to prepare for United States citizenship. Becoming a U.S. citizen helps adults become more active in the community and be more informed residents.

These classes are becoming more popular due to the increased international diversity of people who wish to become official U.S. citizens.

Classes offered by the ÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ« Department of Adult Education use English as a Second Language methods and citizenship preparation material. This will help arm adult learners with the information and knowledge that will enable them to pass the United States Citizenship Test.

Classes are held throughout Tarrant County and taught by trained staff who carefully guide students through the course and prepare them for the citizenship exam.
