Adult English as a Second Language Classes (ESL)

ESL classes for adults are growing in popularity as more people discover how English language skills can improve career and employment opportunities in the United States.
These classes assist adults learn to speak, read and write English at all levels. This is even more important today, because English is regarded as an international language for business, travel and technology. English proficiency is also extremely important for the multi-cultural world we live in today.
There are two types of ESL classes available:
1. ESL for professionals who have a foreign degree but seek to improve their English language skills while living and working in the U.S.
2. ESL Classes for any adult who wishes to learn to speak, read and write English at all levels
The Fort Worth ISD Department of Adult Education offers ESL classes to help people who aren’t proficient in English but wish to be for career or personal reasons. By improving English language skills, adults gain better access to education, greater earning potential, a more satisfactory social life and even better results from healthcare and other social and civic opportunities.
Classes are held throughout Tarrant County and taught by trained staff who carefully guide students through the duration of the course to achieve success.
