Board of Trustees and Superintendent Kent P. Scribner Share Joint Agreement

Superintendent Kent P. Scribner will step down as superintendent of the Fort Worth ISD on August 31, 2022. This follows a joint agreement between the ÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ« Board of Education and Dr. Scribner, voted upon at the Tuesday, March 29, board meeting.

In a statement released by the Board and the Superintendent, trustees expressed their sincere appreciation for Dr. Scribner’s leadership while serving the District and praised the many achievements and accomplishments during his tenure.

Dr.  Scribner thanked past and present trustees for the opportunity to serve as well as his heartfelt appreciation to staff and the community for their support.

Under the board item unanimously approved by trustees, Dr. Scribner will continue to serve in an advisory capacity through February.

In a resignation letter to trustees, Dr. Scribner expressed that his time as superintendent “has been the high point of my career, both personally and professionally.”
