    • Kinder, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade teachers, special education teachers, specialized reading teachers, and principals at Tier 3, 4, and 5 campuses (State requirement) 
    • Elementary assistant principals and instructional coaches (District requirement) 

    2021-2022 
    • Kinder, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade teachers, special education teachers, specialized reading teachers, and principals at Tier 1 and 2 campuses (State requirement) 
    • Kinder, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade teachers, special education teachers, specialized reading teachers, and principals that did not complete in 2020-2021, including new staff (State requirement) 
    • Elementary assistant principals and instructional coaches that did not complete in 2020-2021, including new staff (District Requirement) 

    2022-2023 
    • New kinder, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade teachers, special education teachers, specialized reading teachers, principals, assistant principals, and instructional coaches 
    • 4th and 5th grade teachers (optional) 

    2023-2024 

    TENTATIVE 
    • New kinder-5th grade teachers, special education teachers, specialized reading teachers, principals, assistant principals, and instructional coaches 

    HB3 Texas Reading Academies participants receive a stipend (pending funding availability) for successful completion. Participants are paced through the Reading Academies content and supported by TEA certified Cohort Leaders who serve as ÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ« Literacy Academies Coordinators.  For more information, please contact the Office of Instructional Initiatives and School Supports.
