Graduation Cap Guidelines
- Graduates may only decorate the top of their cap. No objects may hang from the cap or extend one-fourth inch above the headgear.
- Profanity, inappropriate content, lights, or confetti are strictly prohibited.
- Graduates who violate decorative guidelines will receive an alternative cap to wear during the ceremony.
- Caps must be worn with the tassel on the right at the beginning of the ceremony.
Regalia Guidelines
- Graduates may wear heritage stoles, cords, medals, and curricular national honor society stoles.
- Regalia from non-curricular activities and flags draped over graduation gowns are not allowed.
Graduate Attire Guidelines- Young Women: Cap and gown, white collar, blouse, dress, skirt, slacks, and dress shoes
- Young Men: Cap and gown, white button-down shirt with collar, black or navy slacks, dark dress shoes (no sandals). Ties are recommended and sports coats are allowed but not required.
- Jeans and tennis shoes are prohibited.
Day of Graduation

Graduate Arrival Times- TCU ceremonies: Graduating seniors must arrive 1.5 hours before their graduation start time and enter at Gate 10.
- Wilkerson-Greines ceremonies: Graduating seniors must arrive 1.5 hours prior to the ceremony start time and enter at Gate 1.
