EXTERNAL RESEARCH REQUESTS

  • Thank you for your interest in conducting research with Fort Worth ISD (ÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ«). ÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ« recognizes the value of high-quality research for improving teaching and learning.

Proposals can be submitted through our online application:

You are welcome to download a .pdf of the entire application and review it prior to starting the online process. It is highly advisable to use (copy and paste) information from your research proposal draft and/or IRB documents to complete the application. The Confidentiality Agreement should be signed within the online process.

Currently, the ÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ« Committee on External Research Review (CERR) is reviewing research proposals on a rolling basis. Once your completed application is received, the process usually takes 2 to 4 weeks, but can take up to 6 weeks, depending on the complexity of your project.

We reserve the right to limit the types and volume of research projects conducted in the district in order to focus on our priorities at this time. Though we value the interest of researchers like yourself, we will be intentional in monitoring what is requested from our ÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ« community (principals, teachers, students, parents, and staff). Please keep this in mind when considering whether to conduct research in ÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ«.

It is highly encouraged to use Fort Worth ISD data that are available in the public domain, such as the Texas Education Agency (TEA), the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB), the Institute of Education Sciences (IES), the National Center for Education Research (NCER), and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). For public information under the Texas Public Information Act, please review information on ÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ« Open Records Requests

We wish you the best in your research. If you have further questions, please contact AskEval@fwisd.org
