What are the mandatory SafeSchool courses for all ÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ« employees for the 2023-2024 school year?
For the 2023-2024 School Year, the following modules have been assigned and are mandatory:
This year we have the added functionality of Testing Out. If you do test out you will not be able to print a certificate, but you have met the district's requirements. If you want a certificate, you will need to watch the module. If you do NOT pass the Test Out assessment on the first try, then you will be required to watch the entire course and take the assessment.
The only modules that you cannot test out are the ÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ´óÈ« Handbook and the Title IX Compliance Overview. Please review the system generated email as the assigned modules have a due date of January 31, 2023.

How often do we need to complete compliance training?
This is a State and District requirement to be completed annually. Courses are selected each year by District Leadership.
The SafeSchools Training Catalog has 242 Courses in categories such as Social and Behavioral, Special Education, Security, Health and Environmental Protection. It is recommended that employees take additional courses for their own professional learning. We have also added libraries that include Exceptional Child and Bus Safety Transportation.
Supervisors can also assign additional courses for their employees to complete. Supervisors can email Aracely Chavez @ aracely.chavez@fwisd.org to assign or request custom courses.
-
Is it necessary to print my certificates of completion?
No, it is not necessary to print the certificates or send them to anyone. Supervisors have online access to view each employee's progress. We are saving trees by changing the culture of Compliance Training one employee at a time.
If you would like to print or save your certificate:
- Log-in to SafeSchools
- Left click on the green "Certificate" button seen to the right of the course name
- Right click on the certificate and select "Print"
- To Save: After print window opens, set destination to "Save as PDF" and then click "Save"
Note: If a training is "tested out" there will not be a certificate available to print.
