Starting September 1, 2021, payroll deductions for the Teacher Retirement System will increase as reflected in the chart below.

This notice serves as a reminder of the deduction change. This action is the result of a bill that was passed in the 86th Legislature, two years ago, that provided increases in the rates paid by employees, employers and the state over time. It impacts all public education employees enrolled in the Teacher Retirement System of Texas.
