Mr. Steve Horvath
Steven Horvath teaches Computer Enrichment. This is Horvath's sixteenth year of teaching at McLean Sixth Grade. He was inspired to become a teacher because he wanted to help kids learn new skills and become successful young adults.
"Technology is important for students to learn and use because understanding how to use computers can make our lives easier and more enjoyable," Mr. Horvath said.
Mr. Horvath attended the University of Texas earning a degree in Geography with an emphasis in Vegetation Ecology and Process Geomorphology. Mr. Horvath's certifications include: [6-12] Earth Science, Geography, and Computer Enrichment.
"The thing I love about teaching is seeing students learn a new concept and applying the new skill to other areas of their life," Mr. Horvath said.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, riding bikes, and camping. Mr. Horvath likes the color green, enjoys Mexican food, and his favorite restaurant is Heim Barbecue.
