Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Jason Solis

Jason Solis teaches Choir classes. This is his first year to teach at McLean Sixth Grade. His favorite part about teaching is teaching kids to fall in love with singing.
Mr. Solis attended Southern Methodist University and earned a bachelor's degree in music education. He loved college because he made the best of friends in the opera program. They performed in many shows together, and Mr. Solis still loves to perform! Pony up!
Mr. Solis' certifications include: Music (K-12). He chose to teach sixth grade because he loves seeing his students fall in love with music and loves watching them grow.  He likes teaching the basics of music to sixth grade classes and plus, "[we] still laugh at [his] jokes!” he said.
In his spare time, Mr. Solis likes to perform in musicals around Dallas/Fort Worth. His most recent show credits are "Matilda" and "Once on this Island". His favorite color is purple, he loves to eat at Pluckers, and enjoys bowling. He has been singing since he was young, but never really understood how much he really enjoyed it until he was in college.
