Mrs. Lindsey Traughber

Lindsey Traughber teaches band classes. This is Traughber’s sixth year teaching at McLean Sixth. Her favorite part of teaching is that band promotes a tight-knit family atmosphere.

“We are all on the same team working towards a common goal. I also love seeing students realize all of their hard work they have put in pays off after a performance,”Traughber said.

In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her husband, Brian, who is an animation teacher at the Keller Center for Advanced Learning. She also enjoys spending time their sons: Nolan age 6, and Clark and Miles who are four-year-old twins. Pretending to garden and going to the movies entertain Traughber along with chasing her two dachshunds, Marnie Moo and Bossy Pants.

Traughber knew in eighth grade that she wanted to be a band director. She wants to share the love she has for music with as many people as she can. She attended West Texas A&M University and earned a bachelor’s degree in music education. She is certified to teach music K-12.
