Ms. April Lawson
April Lawson teaches fine arts and this is her third year teaching at McLean Sixth grade. Ms. Lawson attended Texas State University and earned a bachelor's degree in fine arts, minor in drawing. She is certified to include k-12th grade art and became a teacher after realizing she had a talent for art and teaching others how to be creative as well!
"My favorite part of teaching is seeing students finish assignments and realize what they have accomplished," Lawson said. "They are so happy when the assignment is completed, very proud of themselves and they should be."
Ms. Lawson likes to spend her free time at her son's baseball games on the weekend, and she has a side business making wooden door hangers so she's busy painting.
