Every staff member on this campus strives to create an environment that is welcoming, caring, supportive and academically challenging. The counseling program at Manuel Jara Elementary works to support your child's success - academically, socially and emotionally. Some of the things the counselor does include: (1) teaching guidance lessons in the classroom, (2) meeting with children individually and (3) meeting with children in small groups. Through each of these formats we try to help students understand and manage their emotions, develop healthy relationships, behave responsibly and reach their fullest potential. The counselor is always available to meet with parents to assist in any way she can to assure your child is successful at school.
