4th Grade Regular Program Teacher
Ms. Barreto's childhood dream of becoming a teacher started in 2nd grade. She graduated from Texas Wesleyan University with a focus on Early Childhood Education. She is currently pursuing my master’s degree in School Counseling through Texas A&M University. She started working for Manuel Jara in 2011. She has taught grades 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th. She wants to inspire her students to become something special at a young age, and that they have a desire to learn and reach their personal goals. She hopes that her class loves school just as much as she does!

4th Grade Regular Program Teacher
Mr. Cowles graduated from the University of North Texas in 2014, receiving a bachelor’s degree in English, writing and rhetoric. His education fostered within him a passion for reading, writing, history, and learning in general that he looks forward to sharing with his students. As a teacher, he enjoys the experience of watching students’ curiosity grow as they engage in a continual process of learning. He believes that every student is capable of tremendous growth when given the opportunity and encouragement to succeed.

Mrs. Delgado
4th Grade Dual Language Teacher
Mrs. Delgado started her career as a BTAP in 2004, with her mentor, Mrs. Sanchez at Manuel Jara. She has taught 1st and 2nd grade at D. McRae for several years. Then she moved to the Houston area where she taught 4th grade Math, Science, and Social Students at Clear Creek ISD. She is excited about the upcoming school year at Manuel Jara Elementary.

Mrs. Sanchez
4th Grade Dual Language Teacher
Mrs. Sánchez has been a teacher at Manuel Jara Elementary for many years and has taught First Grade, Second Grade, and Fourth Grade. She graduated from Texas Wesleyan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s degree in Reading. She is married and has two beautiful and wonderful boys. Teaching students and helping them have success in school and in life is what she loves to do.
