Mrs. Emily Allen
Mrs. Allen joined the YWLA in 2021 and began her teaching career in 2016. She is a TCU graduate with a bachelor's degree in philosophy and earned her Master of Liberal Arts degree, also from TCU, in 2024, with studies focused on English literature. In addition to teaching, she is a senior class sponsor, the National Honor Society sponsor, and serves as the campus English department chair. During the summer, she scores essays for the College Board as an AP Reader.
She is passionate about the teaching of writing and preparing students for success in college and beyond. She is honored to teach the incredible and inspiring students at YWLA.
