Principal

My name is Deleceia McGee, I am humbled and honored for the opportunity to be a part of the Western Hills family.  I have been in education for 21 years and I am a product of Fort Worth ISD, which shaped my “why” for public education as being a pillar of equity in our society.  I am a twice graduate of Texas Wesleyan University and trained in Creating Turn Around Educator Pipeline and Harvard Turn Around Educators.

I am excited to be the new principal of Western Hills Elementary!  The mascot alone ignites a passion within because the bronco is a type of horse that is considered to be stronger than others as well as one that resists “domestication”.  It speaks to a goal of nurturing the strength and potential of our students and taking pride as we lead children on their journey of developing an unmatched and unrestrained love for learning.  As a leader, I truly desire for the staff of Western Hills Elementary to love working here, for students to love being educated here, and for parents to support us while witnessing both the academic and social growth of your child.  I can assure you that Parent and Student equity of voice is important to me because we are here to serve you. I am looking forward to our journey together as we motivate, educate, and empower students everyday!
