The Western Hills Speech and Debate Team (we are small, but mighty!) competed at the Grandview Friendship Tournament right before the Thanksgiving break and had some amazing results!

Dai'Juan Williams finished 7^th overall in Novice Congressional Debate and was ranked 2^nd in his section in Novice Extemporaneous Speaking! These are two incredible results for a brand-new speaker competing against more experienced students!

Veronica Lewis finished 5^th in her first section and 7^th in her second section of Poetry Interpretation competition! 

Octavia Thompson finished 7^th in her first section and 7^th in her second section of Poetry Interpretation competition! 

They are coached by Mr. Uhler.
