Mrs. Burkhardt was born in Minnesota and moved to Texas in 1998. She received her bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from The University of Texas at Arlington and her masters in Educational Leadership from Texas Christian University. She began her educational career teaching biology at South Hills High School. She is in her 3rd year as a principal of S.S. Dillow Elementary and her 13th year in education.
