Miss Lauren Wrzesinski

Hello, Heights Nation

I was raised by Eagle Mountain Lake and attended Boswell High School. Following graduation, I attended Tarleton State University, majoring in history with certification and a minor in exercise and sport studies. I also have a MA in history from Tarleton State University. I loved my tiny university with a hometown feel. My entire family resides in Fort Worth and is very close. If you attend any of the sporting events at Arlington Heights you will probably see one of my parents cheering in the stands!

This upcoming year will be my 7th year of teaching and coaching. Previously, I was at Amon Carter-Riverside High School for six years. I taught Pre-AP World Geography and AP Human Geography. During my time at Carter-Riverside I was the head girl’s track coach for four years, head cross-country coach for three years, and the freshmen volleyball coach for three years. I resigned the spring of 2017 to fulfill my life long dream of traveling the world.

My trip took me to three different continents. I backpacked through Europe for three months. The majority of the time I was on my own with friends and family meeting up with me along the way. Then, I went to South East Asia for two months. Finally, I went to South America for three months. I loved my year of travel! Traveling truly exposed me to cultures around the world but made me realize how much I love home. I began to look for jobs in the Fort Worth area, realizing how much I missed home. I jumped at the opportunity to join the Heights Nation! I am currently teaching Pre-AP Geography and AP Human Geography, which is a new AP class being offered to freshmen. Coaching wise, I am the head cross-country coach along with coaching the freshman volleyball team. I am thrilled to be here and can’t wait to see what the year holds!
