Mr. David Sweeney
It is an honor to serve the students, staff and parents of North Hi Mount!
I was born in Fort Worth, and moved to Stephenville when I was five. After completing my undergraduate degree from Tarleton State University, I began my educational career at Lamar Middle School in Flower Mound. After attaining my master’s degree at TCU, I taught at Western Hills High School for eight years. I left Fort Worth ISD to become Assistant Principal in Aledo ISD, which is where I have been the last nine years.
Five generations of my family have lived in Fort Worth. In fact, my parents used to live behind Kinkaid’s Hamburgers when they first got married and my grandfather’s first law office was right down the street from North Hi Mount. The craziest thing is that my great grandfather worked in the Thurber Brick factory that made the bricks that make up Camp Bowie’s streets. I say that to let y’all know how invested I am in this school and city. I am so excited to be a part of the Eagle Family!
My wife Emily is a kinder teacher at Southwest Christian School, and we have two kiddos, Owen Michael (6) and Molly Grace (3). I look forward meeting you all in person and working hard every day to help our students be the best they can be!
