TELPAS Assessment Info for English Language Learners

Parents,

Students in grades K-12 that have been identified as English Learners are required to take TELPAS (Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System). The state of Texas annually assesses the English language proficiency of students identified as English Learners in four language domains—listening, speaking, reading, and writing. TELPAS evaluates the progress that each student makes in becoming proficient in the use of academic English. For more information, please visit your child’s school website.
