Dr. Tania R. White is a native of Fort Worth, attending elementary, junior high and high school in the city. She attended Prairie View A&M University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, a Master of Education degree in Counseling, a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership from University of Phoenix and a Master in Business Administration in Business Leadership from Concordia College, New York.  Over the last 28 years, Dr. White has worked as an engineer in Houston, Texas, been a secondary school Career and Guidance Counselor, a Secondary Mathematics teacher, an Instruction Coach for teachers, a Campus Coordinator and now the Associate Principal of I. M. Terrell Academy for STEM and VPA.  Dr. White was an active member at Prairie View A&M University in the national honorary band sorority, Tau Beta Sigma Sorority, Inc. and she is currently an active member of the National Pan-Hellenic Council's sorority, Delta Sigma Theta, Inc., and a current member of the Executive Board of the Fort Worth - Prairie View A &M University Alumni Association.

As a mathematics teacher during the 2011-2012 school year, Dr. White was awarded "Campus Teacher of the Year" and advanced on to compete for the district title. On April 5, 2012, she was awarded "Fort Worth Independent School District (六合彩资料大全) Secondary Teacher of the Year" and continues to provide professional development to both new and veteran teachers.  Dr. White works closely with the Math, Science and CTE departments to ensure ALL students get the support they need to not only be successful on the high school level, but also become College Ready on the TSIA 2.0 exam prior to high school graduation. 

Students attending I.M. Terrell Academy for STEM will receive a technology-based blended learning environment that is focused in engineering and computer science careers. Students can enjoy enhancement opportunities through:

P- TECH

Pathways to Technology (P-TECH) Academies are open-enrollment secondary programs that focus on improving instruction and academic performance in science and mathematics-related subjects and increasing the number of students who study and enter STEM careers. The P-TECH Blueprint provides foundational principles and standards for innovative partnerships with colleges, universities, and industry.

I. M. Terrell Academy serves as one of the 2 P-TECH academies in Fort Worth Independent School District partnering with Tarrant County College and Texas Instruments to provide students with a blended P-TECH Early College High School curriculum with an emphasis on science, math, engineering, and technology. I. M. Terrell Academy students will have opportunities to engage in work-based learning educational opportunities, earn post-secondary certifications and earn college credit up to 60 college credit hours or an associate’s degree.

P-TECH students:

• • Can earn up to an associate degree from Tarrant County College (at no cost)

  • Will earn at least one industry-based certificate

  • Will learn employment and career expectations firsthand through relationships forged with industry partners.

  • Will learn STEM skills through our extensive work-based learning program partnering with Texas Instruments.

  • Will receive support to help them learn how to manage and be successful in college level coursework.

Visual and Performing Arts

Students grow artistically in the study of dance, instrumental music, vocal music, theater, and visual arts. Through in-depth and accelerated course work, students prepare for college scholarship auditions and/or career opportunities in the arts.

Highlights include:

• • Learning from professional artists

  • Direct experience in high-level performance presentations

  • Student-created portfolios (dance, instrumental music, vocal music, theater, and visual arts) that transition students to postsecondary opportunities.

  • I. M. Terrell Academy Opportunities: Apprentices partner with subject matter experts to develop a capstone project and/or portfolio.
