The Ron Clark House System , as described on its website, seeks to build character, empower academic excellence, foster school spirit, enhance relationships, and promote a culture of belonging for all. After a very successful year, Dolores Huerta Elementary School will continue to participate in the program. The house system is an exciting way for students to feel a stronger sense of belonging, pride, and recognition for extraordinary acts. Our house system includes four houses, each with its own identity. Students in grades three through five are assigned to one of the four houses. They will earn points for their house by exhibiting extraordinary academic, social and behavioral characteristics at the moment or by showing improvement over time. Points can come from any adult in the building that sees displays of excellence. At the end of the year, we will hold a celebration for the house that earned the most points. |
