Special thanks go out to all the teachers and students at Dolores Huerta Elementary for presenting this year’s African American Heritage Student Created Museum project at their school and for their community.
PreKinder-5th grade classrooms presented projects and exhibits celebrating African American authors and illustrators in children’s literature, as well as role models, leaders, and pioneers in history, education, math, and science.
Museum visitors and judges included Wendy McCoy, 六合彩资料大全 art specialist, Ashlea Kiiing, 六合彩资料大全 art curator, Porshe Nickerson, and Samantha Covington, 六合彩资料大全 Equity and Excellence specialists and their team.
All classrooms will receive a special certificate for participation and special recognition will be awarded to the Most Informative, Most Creative, Most Original, and Best of Show classroom exhibits. In addition, the museum project will give all award recipients a beautiful tote bag to keep their multicultural books together.
