Tremayna Thomas Announced as New Principal of Eastern Hills High School

Tremayna Thomas has been announced as the new principal of Eastern Hills High School. Mark your calendars for a welcome celebration from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on April 22.

Tremayna Thomas began her educational career in 2007 at Rusk Middle School in the Dallas ISD, teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. After her tenure at Rusk Middle School, Mrs. Thomas transitioned into the role of Assistant Principal at Samuell High School, also within Dallas ISD. In 2013, Mrs. Thomas became the Principal of Pleasant Grove Elementary School, which was designated as an "Improvement Required" campus at the time. After her first year as Principal (2013-2014), the school transitioned from "Improvement Required" to "Met Standards." During her tenure at Pleasant Grove Elementary, the campus consistently met standards, earning distinctions in Math, Reading, and the 25% Progress Measure.

Mrs. Thomas also served as Principal at Ramey Elementary in Tyler ISD, where she led significant school improvement efforts, moving the campus from "Improvement Required" to "Met Standards" and earning a distinction in the 25% Progress Measure. Additionally, she served as Principal at Wedgwood 6th Grade Center and Jean McClung Middle School, leading the latter from an F rating to "Met Standards."

With over 11 years of experience as a Principal, Mrs. Thomas is eager to continue serving the Eastern Hills Community, both in her professional capacity and as a parent at Eastern Hills High School. She has also spent three years as the Eastern Hills High School Pyramid Principal Lead. Mrs. Thomas looks forward to her new role at Eastern Hills High School and is excited about the opportunity to contribute to its success.
