By preparing early, students will be more likely to be college and career ready after high school graduation. Our students had an awesome time. Congratulations to all of the East Handley's Spanish Spelling Bee Contestants! The competition was tough and many students were so close to spelling words correctly. We are proud of all of the students who took part and to all of our winners, a huge round of applause for your outstanding achievement! After an intense competition, we are thrilled to announce our Spelling Bee Champion, "Axel Lugo" and our Spelling Bee Runner Up, "Damian Ramirez!"

Congratulations Readers! Our school has been awarded the Beanstack’s inaugural Reading Culture Trailblazer badge.

The Reading Culture Trailblazer award is granted to schools that gain over 75% participation in Beanstack each school year.

Congratulations to our very own, Ciin Sung, for placing 3rd place in the Area #3 Spelling Bee. It was a tough competition, but Ciin made East Handley proud! W-O-N-D-E-R-F-U-L job!

Awesome job to all the students that participated in our campus "Battle of the Books" competition. The competition was a quiz-show style format where students work as teams to answer questions about the books they read. The winning teams will be moving forward to participate in the district level “Battle of the Books” competition representing East Handley Elementary.
