Ms. Tammy Asbury

Lead counselor

Counselor for juniors and seniors

Ms. Asbury uses advocacy, support, knowledge and a commitment to excellence to serve the students at TABS. Using solution-focused techniques, she counsels students through academic advisement, personal issues, crisis and college and career decisions. She has more than 20 years' experience as a high school counselor.

A passionate student advocate, before coming to TABS, Ms. Moreno spent five years at Kirkpatrick Middle School and worked with Communities in Schools of Greater Tarrant County and Children's Medical Center.

Johanah Okweni is an advocate for academic excellence and equity and celebrates diversity. Her goal is to ensure the holistic wellbeing of all students. She is adept at building relationships and with the knowledge that all students can learn and can be successful. She holds all stakeholders to high expectations and willingly provides all necessary support for all to excel.

Mr. Brian Wooddell

Post-secondary success specialist

Mr. Wooddell oversees advanced academic programs, including the dual-credit and A.P. programs, and organizes A.P., TSI, SAT/PSAT and ACT testing. He has worked in education since 2007 and spent 10 years as a French teacher.
