• Built in 1988, Edward J. Briscoe Elementary School is named for longtime Fort Worth educator and humanitarian, Mr. Edward J. Briscoe (1910-2006). Our school’s mascot (eagle) reflects the indomitable spirit of our progenitor, scholars, and staff.

    Mr. Briscoe believed and would tell his students,"You can if you think you can and work hard enough.” Here at Briscoe, We believe, We can Achieve.  Our staff is committed to the conviction that each student can and will achieve.

Ms. Devona Burgess

Devona Burgess hails from Riverside, Ca, receiving her bachelor’s degree from CSU Stanislaus. Ms. Burgess also has a master’s degree from Capella University and received her Principal certification from Lamar University.

Ms. Burgess has twenty years of experience in education. She served as a Special Education teacher in California for five years. Her additional years have been spent right here in 六合彩资料大全. Ms. Burgess has served as a Pre-K teacher, Early Childhood Specialist, Title I teacher, Data Analyst, Dean of Instruction, Assistant Principal and now Principal of Edward J. Briscoe Elementary.

Ms. Burgess’ personal goals for Briscoe are to improve student achievement through collective, team-based approaches, direct lines of communication, and thorough planning.

Charlene Louis

Charlene Louis, a Forth Worth native, received her bachelor’s degree from UT Austin. Mrs. Louis also holds a master’s degree from UT Arlington and received her Principal certification from Texas Wesleyan University.

Entering her 23rd year in education, she has served as an Early Learning specialist, Texas Literacy Initiative specialist and a curriculum writer in neighboring school districts around the DFW area.
