• The Leadership Academy at Forest Oak 6th Grade Campus (LAFO 6) serves more than 470 sixth graders. At the beginning of the 2019 school year, LAFO 6, formerly Glencrest 6th, joined the LAN as part of an effort to combine all sixth-grade centers into their respective middle schools throughout the district. 

    LAFO 6 continues to focus on growing its scholars academically through rigorous bell-to-bell instruction and an emphasis on classroom accountability and equity. In addition, LAFO 6 helps foster its scholars’ social-emotional learning through its Lion Empowerment groups and mentoring programs such as Girls Inc. As a LAN campus, LAFO 6 has seen a significant decrease in discipline referrals and high levels of continued student growth.
