• My name is Patricia Alvarez and I am honored that I was selected Teacher of the Year here at Luella Merrett. I earned my bachelor degree from Dallas Baptist University. This school year completes my 20th year in teaching. My first priority with my students is to build a strong relationship. I believe that each student first needs to know that I care about them then I can teach them. I find great joy in being a part of each student’s learning process and their academic/social growth.

     

    Me llamo Patricia Alvarez y me siento honrada de haber sido elegida Maestra del Año aquí en Luella Merrett. Obtuve mi licenciatura en Dallas Baptist University. Este año escolar cumplo 20 años en la enseñanza. Mi primera prioridad con mis estudiantes es construir una relación fuerte. Creo que cada estudiante primero necesita saber que me preocupo por ellos y luego puedo enseñarles. Encuentro una gran alegría en ser parte del proceso de aprendizaje de cada estudiante y su crecimiento académico / social.
