Greetings Viking Family!  

Welcome to Morningside Middle School. I am William Spann, Your Assistant Principal, and I am honored to be a part of this amazing educational community. As we embark on a new academic year, I want to extend an enthusiastic greeting to both parents and scholars. I am originally from Jackson MS where I graduated with my Bachelors degree in Sociology with a Minor in Vocal Music Education. I have a deep commitment to learning and professional growth, which lead me to pursue a Dual Master’s Degree from Dallas Baptist University in educational Leadership with a focus on Principalship and Special education, specializing as an Educational Diagnostician.  

I Strongly believe in the power of education to transform lives and create a positive impact on our community. One of my favorite quotes is, “If you want to change people’s beliefs and behavior, you need to create a community around them, where those new beliefs could be practical, expressed and nurtured.” This sentiment resonates deeply with me, as I believe that fostering a supportive and inclusive environment is essential for nurturing the potential in every student. Communication and partnership are the pillars of a successful educational experience, and I eagerly look forward to collaborating with each of you.  Whether you have questions, concerns, or just want to celebrate, I am here to listen and work alongside you.
