Whitney Darden was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. She is a graduate of Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. Upon graduation from Dunbar High School, Mrs. Darden attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in history with a minor in government. She went on to receive her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington.

After her college graduation, Mrs. Darden began a career in education. She returned to her alma mater, Dunbar High School, and taught social studies. Continuing her career in Fort Worth ISD, Mrs. Darden became a Social Studies Network Specialist. Mrs. Darden served as assistant principal at William James Middle School before becoming principal at Eastern Hills Elementary School.

In her free time, Mrs. Darden enjoys serving, reading, shopping, and being in the company of her family and friends. Mrs. Darden is excited about serving as principal at Eastern Hills Elementary School. She is dedicated to working with all stakeholders to ensure that every student leaves Eastern Hills with a strong foundation that will allow them to be positive contributors to our society.
