Ms. Alice Buckley, Principal

This is my twenty-fourth year in education; all of my experience has been with 六合彩资料大全. I had the good fortune to grow up in Commerce, Texas where my parents taught at Texas A&M University. I went to college at Austin College in Sherman, Texas. The highlight of my undergraduate college career was spending a year in Durham, England studying 18th Century Restoration Comedy and Shakespeare. After completing my undergraduate degree I then went on to earn my Secondary teaching certificate from Texas State College in San Marcos, Texas.
I was recruited by Fort Worth I.S.D. and began my teaching career at Monnig Middle School teaching 7th grade English and Reading. Then I taught at William James Middle School for five years. It was during this period that I became interested in school leadership and began pursuing my Master’s in Mid-Management.
After earning my Master’s, I was promoted to administrator for Tier I Leonard DAEP School and spent five years there. While at Tier I Leonard, I became a first time mother and because of my daughter became interested in the Montessori method of education. Next I moved into the position of Assistant Principal of Daggett Montessori for four years. Before coming to ALA I was principal of Ridglea Hills Elementary School.

While at Daggett Montessori I obtained both Elementary I Montessori training and my American Montessori Society Administrative certificate. Although Montessori and Applied Learning are not exactly the same, the Montessori method and the Applied Learning method spring from the same philosophical well. I passionately believe in alternative methods of educating children and feel incredibly blessed to be allowed the opportunity to be a part of ALA.
