     Greetings Trojan Family,

I am pleased and blessed to have an opportunity to serve as your campus Principal for the 2020-2021 school year. It is truly an honor to join an amazing team that is dedicated to student success. I would to take an opportunity to introduce myself.

My name is Tremayna Thomas. I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband named Joseph and a beautiful daughter named Brooklynn who will be a freshman in high school. I started my educational career at Rusk Middle School in Dallas ISD, teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. From Rusk MIddle School I transitioned into an Assistant Principal's position at Samuel High School in Dallas ISD. In 2013 I became Principal at Pleasant Grove Elementary School, which at the time was an Improvement Required campus. After my first year as the Principal at Pleasant Grove Elementary (2013-2014), we brought the campus from Improved Required to MET Standards. During my three- year tenure the campus remained off Improvement Required. My third and final year at Pleasent Grove Elementary was 2015-2016. After three years of focusing on maximzing time on task, collaboration and teamwork, and accountability for all, we were able to earn three distinctions in Math, Reading, and 25% progress Measure. I also spent some time as Principal in Tyler ISD at Ramey Elementary were I lead the charge for school improvement and we successfully moved the campus from Improvement Required to MET Standards, earning a distinction in 25% Progress Measure. For the past three years I have lead Wedgwood 6th Grade as a campus Principal where we have also had many instructional successes.

I look forward to a wonderful and successful school year!

    Sincerely ,

    Tremayna Thomas
