    Polytechnic Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) offers an outstanding elective course/program for young men and women to help motivate them to succeed and excel in life. It emphasizes character building/development, leadership development, responsibility, self-esteem, self-discipline, and citizenship. Students are taught problem solving skills, leadership skills, goal setting, communication, and inter-personal skills. Strong emphasis is placed on character, integrity, personal growth, and physical fitness. - Step up to the challenge!

    LTC (R) Thomas S. Cannariato served in the US Army, US Army Reserves, and the Army National Guard for over 26 years, from 1988 to 2014. He was commissioned through Army ROTC and is a Qualified Armor, Transportation, and Human Resources Officer. He is an Iraqi war veteran. He enjoys reading, wargaming, gardening, travel, traveling on cruise ships, and visiting historical places. He is married and has 2 rescue dog and 2 rescue cats. He has a Bachelors Degree in History and Political Science and a Masters Degree in U.S. History and Military History. LTC Cannariato has been the Senior Army Instructor (SAI) at Poly since 2016.
