Kendra Banks
My name is Mrs. Kendra Banks. I have been this school's librarian since 2008. I have been in education for 24 years. My teaching career started in Mississippi, teaching 4th grade. My move to the DFW Metroplex landed me with another 4th-grade teaching assignment with Dallas ISD.
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and a Master of Arts in Teaching from my beloved HBCU, Alcorn State University. In addition, I have a Master of Science in Library Science from the University of North Texas.
A library media specialist is a certified librarian who is also certified in K-12 education. This year, I will support you and your teachers in literacy, technology, and digital citizenship.
