After School Program

    The Fort Worth After School program is available to students in grades 3-5 on a first come, first serve basis.  We are able to accept 50 students per year.

     Mission:

    To provide quality before and after school programs in a safe environment that results in educational, physical and social development for elementary and middle school-aged students.                
     

     Goals:

    • Promote educational competence for academic achievement standards in core academic subjects.
    • Enhance physical and social development by offering students a broad array of additional highly rigorous activities designed to reinforce and complement the academic program for participating students.
    • Reduce juvenile crime by keeping students involved in educational, nurturing and safe environment.

    Activities at FWAS may be placed in seven broad categories:

    • Tutoring/ Homework
    • Academic enrichment
    • Fine arts
    • Technology tools/skills
    • Service learning
    • Recreation/ Youth development

     

    Students participate in the following clubs at MLPhillips After School:

    • Sports
    • Cheerleading
    • Garden
    • Arts and Crafts
    • Coding Club
    • Computers
    • Puzzles and Games
