The Leadership Academy at Mitchell Boulevard held its 2023-24 Campus Spelling Bee on Wednesday, December 6th. Contestants represented 2nd - 5th grades and included our Dual Language students, as well. Our students went 10 rounds, making it quite an exciting event.
Mr. Fracassi, Mrs. Lyons, and Ms. Shears served as the three judges, and Ms. Burns pronounced the words. A special thanks to Mrs. Lyons for coordinating the Spelling Bee this year.

3rd Grade:

4th Grade:
London Johnson, Kingston Minniefield, Kimberly Polanco, & Jared Ramirez
5th Grade:
Nafari Cain, Matthew Camarena, Bianca Fuentes, Karmaree Jackson, & London Jefferson
Winners:
London Jefferson - 1st Place (#21), Kerim Pozos - 2nd Place (#2), & Terrance (TJ) Cooper - 3rd Place (#6)
All of our participants did an amazing job! London Jefferson will be representing our campus at the Area Spelling Bee on January 29th at the M.G. Ellis Building. We wish him the best of luck!
